1. When would you personally use depth-of-field when photographing in the future? Give specific examples.
I would use depth of field for a picture that had many different things going on at one. For example if I was taking picture of a garden I would focus on a certain area and make the further away flowers blurred. That way the view can focus completely one the flowers that where being photographed.
2. Explain why you put the little figurines in the setting you did.
In my second photo I put the figurine on the stairs because I wanted to do a photo that was showing maybe a small thing to us could be a bigger thing to the figurines and we walk by those signs all the time but to the figurine it was it's actual stair case. In the first photo I really wanted to play with depth of field by having the hikers very in focus and the background of what they are climbing a little more blurred.
3. How could you improve your photographs and/or what would you do differently? Explain using detail.
For both photos working with the blur tool was a little tricky but after playing around for a while I got both the photos to be what I had pictured when taking them. If I did this project again I would probably try working with different angles because both my photos are straight on because I wasn't thinking much about anything but the composition and the blur.
